Midtown Pools Center was registered with the DTI in May 1989 by founder Eddie V. Bernardez, building swimming pools, spas, fountains, and waterfalls at a time when very few local contractors specialised in aquatic work at all.
In 2013, ownership passed to Rosalyn Bernardez, our Proprietress and General Manager, with Eddie continuing as company consultant. The scope has widened since — hardscape works, community facilities, patios and decks — but the standard has not changed: solid engineering, honest pricing, and a schedule we actually keep.

A pool in the Philippines has to deal with a high water table, heavy seasonal rain, humid curing conditions, and seismic movement. Details that get skipped elsewhere — hydrostatic relief valves, adequate rebar in transition walls, a proper concrete mix — are the difference between a pool that lasts and one that leaks within a few years.
Most structural failures we get called in to fix trace back to two things: under-reinforced transition walls and a curing period cut short to keep a schedule. Neither is visible on turnover day; both show up within three rainy seasons.

Both. A large share of our work comes from developers such as Megaworld, Ayala Land, and Makati Development Corporation, but private residential builds have been part of our business since 1989 and follow exactly the same engineering standards.

A standard residential pool typically runs eight to twelve weeks from excavation to turnover, depending on size, finishes, and weather. Amenity and commercial pools are scheduled around the main contractor’s program; we give you a milestone timeline with the proposal.
Yes. Elevated pools are a large part of our portfolio — lap pools and jacuzzis on mid-floor amenity decks, 12th-floor pool decks, and penthouse roof decks. These builds need tighter waterproofing and load coordination with the structural engineer, which we handle as part of the scope.
We do, after a site assessment. We document what is already in place, test the shell and lines for leaks, and give you a written scope for what needs correcting before any new work starts.
